Q: When trying to access my hosting controls we tryed opeing up the link on our shopping cart "hosting controls" which takes you this address: https://www.MYDOMAIN.com:8443
This page opened up and said.......................
"There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.
The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid.
The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address."
A. This is normal. Plesk always uses it's own SSL certificate for control panel and your browser just tells you it's Plesk certificate, not your site own certificate. If you see that message, click OK to Continue or add that site to SSL exceptions. It's safe to use your hosting control panel with certificate issued for a server, not your site.
